OWH Valentine Challenge

We're down to the wire for the Archway cookie challenge AND voting at Joann's with Crafts for a Cause so hurry over to the OWH site and catch up on all the deets!

While you're at OWH be sure to enter their Valentine card challenge. Check out this wonderful prize from The Angel Company and be sure to get your entry in by Wednesday, December 1st. I entered mine tonight! I hope you like the little "luv bug". The greeting inside the card says, "be mine". The card was colored with Copics with a little faux red crystal added to the ladybug and a trio of red buttons just for a little interest and play off all the dots. I wasn't sure the red & white dots would go well but I think it worked perfectly!

PS...Don't forget to join my blog candy giveaway below. You can still join this leftover from the OWH Bloghop until December 1st. Please spread the word!!

Thankful at 7 Kids Challenge Blog

Tab over at 7 Kids has had a rough go with a son who was injured in an auto accident recently. In celebration of thanks the challenge this round is in the spirit of "thankfulness" appropriate for the season as well. I'm very thankful for all my visitors here but mostly for my wonderful DH, children & grandchildren. 2010 has been one of the best as we welcomed little granddaughter, Heather Rose, into our family this Fall. There isn't much that can top that!

I hope you enjoy my post today! I'm hoping to add one tomorrow but am feeling a little under the weather and have some big cooking to do so may not make it here again until after Thanksgiving. This is one of my favorite holidays because I get to spend it surrounded by the people I love most each year. What a blessing! Blessings and peace to you all also.

Emerald Faeries - Wonders from Down Under

It seems like months since I blogged about a card I've made! I have been busy getting ready for the holidays but have still found time to look around the internet in search of things new and fun. Goodness, am I happy to have lucked upon an online store from Queensland, Australia called Debs Creations where they created the most amazing collection of stamps and digital stamps called Emerald Faeries! The card I'm showing here today features the sweet little faery called "Ebony", and aren't the pair adorable?
What's great is you can get these stamps instantly from Australia without waiting (or paying) for shipping. I'm so excited to own all four Emerald Faeries and will be posting photos of cards made with them as I enter my cards in challenges around the web. My card today is entered in the "anything goes challenge" at Flutterby Wednesday.

The card I'm featuring here was colored with some of my favorite buttery Copic colors to go along with the peachy pink tones in my old stash of scrap paper. (The only new purchase for this card is the ecru cluney lace.) The purchased image only has one faery but I thought a smaller second one atop the mushroom was called for and made for a perfect pair of twins. Since I was using digital clipart, I was able to shrink the top faery a tiny bit and flip the image. That is one of the joys of using digital images! I hope you like my card and will check back soon as I post more cards from this amazing collection. Be sure to stop by Debs Creations to check out the collection and get yours.

Sunday Greetings Papercrafting Friends!

Holy cow! I can't believe it has been so long since I posted and gosh, even longer since I posted card photos. I will try to get a card up here later tonight or tomorrow...promise!

For now please do yourself a BIG, BIG favor and go visit a site I found tonight. I'm in love! Considering I bought 2 sets of Spellbinder dies today at 60% off at A. C. Moore...this is a timely find. This company in England creates the most wonderful stamps that fit a number of the Nestability dies and are great! AND what a great name...the Waltzing Mouse Stamps. If you like primatives, distressing and the like you have to scoot over and check them out. I can't wait to order!

Just Magnolia Challenge

True to form, I am last minute entering a challenge over at the Just Magnolia blog where the theme is "anything goes" with beads. The card I'm entering has been a work in progress forever, it seems! You know, one of those things you picture in your head but it just doesn't work out? I bought the lovely Anna Griffin ivory paper with glittery silver snowflake several weeks back and instantly the color scheme worked out in my head but getting a design down was harder and this card is a diversion from what I planned but I like the outcome and have added it to my stack to send off to far flung family and friends this Christmas.

I decided to only use the upper half of Tilda which I colored with Copics. The double layered ovals were cut from my Cricut. The little "Let It Snow" stamp is a $1 Mary Englebreit design. The faux crystal snowflake is a beaut I won in an Imaginisce challenge some weeks back. Each crystal has 2 holes so I added a dangle glass bead to finish things. I've been using safety pins to attach little doodads to ribbons forever and thought it was meant to be for this card. The tulle for my bow was a find this weekend at a craft store north of the beach town where we have a place and will work well for Christmas and the beachy things I like to make all year!

The interesting ivory base is Bazzill Bling which I punched with the MS Princess border set. A large snowflake with diamond Stickles, a couple Prima flowers, and punched pink glittery MS brances are icing on the cake.

Please be sure to stop back November 13th when I will be participating in the OWH bloghop!

NEW! Magna-licious Challenge Blog

Just when I get my ailing computer back and am all set to start creating again a new challenge blog comes along. Oh my...you could do this full time AND how much fun would that be? Well, I guess my DH thinks I DO it fulltime too!

I somehow found the Magna-licious store in my search for a sold out Tilda Christmas stamp and when no one else online had it for me, Magna-licious did...through them I reaquainted with an old design team friend formerly from CA, now in TX. Do yourself a favor and visit Leslie's Blog where you'll find a charming mix of her special, talented family and her wonderful cards. I'm so honored to own an absolutely amazing Raggedy Ann scrapbook layout that Leslie sold me a few years back. I discovered her while doing some talent scouting for our old design team so it really thrills me to see things working out well for her. Also, BE sure to check out her studio...it is to DIE for! Well...I am getting off on a tagent here so will try to get back on track and go finish some cards I'm working on. Hope to see you around the blogs and please stop back for the OWH on 11/3!!

How exciting Tilda fans...Magna-licious has started a new challenge blog! It is destined to be amazing, for sure. You can visit it by clicking the lavendar blinkie on my sidebar or with the title above.

The twice monthly challenges will have 2 themes: color and inspiration. Sounds like lots of fun. The first challenge is underway today. The theme of the first one is the colors yellow and pink! Can't wait to dig in and have some Maggie fun!! The prize is a gift cert. to the amazing Magna-licious store. See you there...

Imaginisce Design Team Call

Check out Imaginisce's blog for their 2011 Design Team Try-Outs! I LOVE Imaginisce products and am pondering an application but haven't decided for sure yet. They have some mighty big shoes to fill in the departing group of designers but who doesn't love the challenge of posting their work on the Imaginisce blog AND of course, free stuff?

In hopping around checking out the current Imagnisce Design Team blogs I ran across this wonderful tidbit! It's perfect timing for me to shop for some fun gals this Christmas.
